Mario vs. Donkey Kong NSP was a Nintendo puzzle game that was hugely successful, introducing two new video game icons, Mario and Donkey Kong. Mario is a little and clever plumber, Donkey Kong is a monkey with a high energy level. The sequel to the original, Mario vs. Donkey Kong, has been compiled into a single long-awaited game in the Mario franchise that is now available on Nintendo Switch over 20 years later. The game has also been improved in many ways, such as improved graphics and sound designs, and three new game modes, while keeping the gameplay as it is.
Now Mario embarks on a journey to get one of the most popular toys: Mini Mario. But he doesn’t go through an intermediary, he goes straight to the source: the factory that makes these cursed toys. And he collects them all, leaving not a single one for the well-behaved children. The great ape’s enemy, Mario shows up, traversing the different mechanisms of the toy factory to retrieve all of the toys Donkey Kong dropped while climbing the building.
It is no surprise that all this sounds familiar as Mario vs. Donkey Kong is based on the successful Donkey Kong 1994, which Nintendo’s NST team took the blueprint for. The game features all the platforming and puzzle elements, as well as all of Mario’s abilities created specifically for that game, and adds new challenges for the Game Boy Advance version. It is a completely new experience, in a familiar format, with all challenges exclusive to Mario vs. Donkey Kong, even if you’ve already played Donkey Kong 1994.

Players are given two options: Classic Style (original time limits, one-hit deaths) or Casual Style (removes the timer, multiple hits, and adds checkpoints).
Local Co-op:
To simplify the process, a two-player mode lets a second player come along as “Toad”, with new collaborative mechanics and new level layouts.
Massive Level Roster:
Includes more than 130 levels in 8 worlds. There are new versions of classic stages, two new worlds: Merry Mini-Land (an amusement park) and Slippery Summit (an icy mountain).
New Modes:
Mario vs. Donkey Kong NSP Has Time Attack challenges and Expert Levels unlocked with “Perfect” scores on levels.Mario’s voice is re-used from the late Charles Martinet, which makes Nostalgic Voice Work quite interesting.
